Deckle Edge Brush

This brush is used with the Eraser tool to create deckled edges. 

To create the image below I created two layers.  One was the white background layer.  The other was a transparent raster layer on which I filled a rectangular selection with a paper texture.  I deselected the paper and, with three clicks of the Eraser brush (click, shift-click, shift-click) on the corners of the paper, I had deckled edges. :)  I added a minimal drop shadow as a final touch.

Options to explore:

• Examine the Jitter settings and figure out how it works.
• Create your own deckle edge brush tips! All sorts of effects are possible.
• Use the brush tip with other brush tools.

Installation instructions:

Download the files.  Place them in your Brushes folder.

To Use:

Open or create a new image.  Select the Eraser tool and the Deckle Edge brush tip.
